I got home late from doing inventory and wow counting paper and stickers really does a number on your hands.  Of course this photo doesn't show it but every line and crack in my skin was filled with fine white dust.  My hands were sooooo dry, they looked like they had aged 40 years in one night.

framed self portrait

oh yeah today was one of "those" days when the 24 hour period passes by and you let it pass by thinking I'll get the shot later...I'll work on it later, right after I finish with this... and at 11:55pm I still didn't have a photo to post. So into the bathroom I went, camera in hand.

I know some people have 365 projects that feature only self portraits and I'm not sure I could do it. In a week I'd be bored by the limits of the subject matter. On the other hand, it would force me to find creative ways to approach the same, always available subject. So I'll keep exploring my options in the until then...today is done

day 7...09-09-09 theme shadows

We picked the theme shadows for today...thankfully it's a beautiful sunny day with lots of shadows following me around. I headed over to university this morning after I dropped Kaylin off @ school. I had 30 minutes to shoot and get to work on time.
I had several shadow shots to choose from, but what I love about this one, is it's shadow but with detail, texture and colour, almost the antithesis of shadow.
